Exploring the world of Winter Burrow? Here’s a handy guide on how to find a Mole Atrifact.
You might be asking yourself: what is a Mole Artifact even? If you’re asking this, you’re probably too early to need this handy guide, so keep playing Winter Burrow for now. But if you do know what I’m talking about, read on.
Where is Willow?

Just in case you’re actually here to find Willow — I got you. It took me a while to find her too — don’t worry, boo.
Willow is southwest of your tree trunk home. You’ll need to have completed Bufo’s quest, An Axe for Bufo, before you can reach her. Once you finish that quest, Bufo rewards you with a blueprint for a Granite Pickaxe. Craft it before you head out.
From your home, go southwest and take the western passage. Break the granite rocks you encounter to unlock the White Pillars region. Keep heading southwest, then through another west exit, and you’ll find Willow the mole.

Finding the Mole Artifact

After completing several quests for Willow, she’ll ask you to Find A Mole Artifact. She doesn’t really tell you what to look out for though.
Head east through the passage out of her area, and keep going east past a bird’s nest until you reach another section. From here, start heading south — you’ll spot some big green vines you can chop through with your axe. Move south through that passage. Be careful in this area, as spiders are lurking around!
Continue through the tall grass and you’ll spot a weird grey structure in the snow that you can interact with. This is the mole artifact — it’s actually a mole helmet! Return to Willow to complete the quest.
Winter Burrow is out now on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
