Video games releasing in February 2025

After a reasonably quiet January for video game releases, February is stepping it up a notch. There’s a fist-full of highly anticipated titles releasing soon, with Avowed, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Monster Hunter Wilds all set to launch this month.

Here are our most anticipated games releasing in February 2025:

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Set in 15th century Medieval Europe, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II promises an epic journey full of betrayal and revenge, set in a historically accurate world. The open-world action-RPG tells the tale of Henry, the son of a blacksmith, as he continues his quest to avenge his parents’ murders. Your actions and decisions will not only shape Henry’s story, but also the world around him.

Emphasis has been put on making combat as accurate to the times as possible, with swords, maces, bows and even primitive firearms at your disposal. You’ll need to exploit enemy weaknesses, chain combos together, and become a master parrier if you’re going to survive the visceral real-time skirmishes.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II rides into battle on February 5th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Seires X|S, and PC.

Big Helmet Heroes

Quirky characters and a whole lot of fun — Big Helmet Heroes is riding into town this month and is sure to offer some couch co-op chaos. Developed by Exhalted Studio, this 3D beat’em up is one we’ve had our eye on for a while.

Each level is an all out brawl, with hack and slash combat mixed with some light platforming and adventure. Players will unlock new characters, weapons and abilities as they travel across a medieval land.

Look out for Big Helmet Heroes on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC on February 7th.

Avowed

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Avowed is shaping up to be one of 2025’s hit RPGs.

Set in the vibrant world of Eora, known from the Pillars of Eternity series, Avowed promises dynamic combat and a rich narrative. Players will explore the mysterious Living Lands, wielding a variety of spells and weapons to tackle the challenges ahead.

Quest Daily previewed the game last year, going hands on for a few hours to explore one of the games many dungeons — we’re currently reviewing the full game and look forward to sharing more soon.

Mark your calendars for February 19th, Avowed is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Avast ya salty sea dogs! A new Yakuza game be on the horizon! In what looks to be the silliest, most fun video game this year, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii puts you in the boots of Goro Majima, on his hunt to discover his lost memories and boatloads of treasure.

Set six months after the events of the phenomenal JRPG, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, this new action-adventure will take you around the treacherous waters of Hawaii, sinking pirate ships and slicing through scallywags. With thrilling ship-to-ship combat and the ability to board enemy ships to take down their crews, Pirate Yakuza is ship-shaping up to be the best pirate adventure we’ve had since Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag itself!

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii weighs anchor on February 21st for PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC.

Monster Hunter Wilds

It’s been seven years since Monster Hunter: World burst onto the scene to both critical and fan acclaim, selling over 25 million copies. Now, Capcom are poised to do it all again with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. As a hunter on an expedition to the Forbidden Lands, you’re tasked with tracking and slaying dangerous beasts that make the area dangerous to inhabit. Along for the ride is your loyal Palico pal, a guild appointed handler, and a speedy new avian mount called the Seikret.

There’ll be dozens of new monsters to defeat, harvest, and forge new weapons and armour out of. Some will even travel in packs or herds, with their own unique behaviours and territories. Like in World, you can call on other players to aid you on your hunt. New to the series however is the implementation of AI controlled support hunters, who’ll assist you in battle when there are no other players hunters available. Also new is the ability to carry two weapons with you on hunts; one on your hunter and one on your mount, bringing more build variety and strategy to gameplay.

Join the hunt; Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Seires X|S, and PC.
