The Sims 25th Birthday Expo is coming to Melbourne (and it’s free)

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping back into the early 2000s and reliving the golden age of The Sims, ACMI’s The Sims 25th Birthday Expo has you covered.

Running this February, the event transforms a section of the ACMI building into a Y2K-inspired bedroom — complete with blow-up chairs, CD towers, fuzzy rugs, and the iconic Woohoo Bed (excuse me?).

Fans can book a slot at gaming stations to revisit The Sims and The Sims 2, playing the classics as they were meant to be experienced. And with the recent release of The Sims: Birthday Bundle, nostalgia is in full swing.

Whether you were a meticulous builder, a pool ladder remover, or just in it for the cheat codes (rosebud, anyone?), there’s certainly something here to spark those memories.

Melbourne’s favourite creators and streamers will also be dropping in to play live from the Pop-Up Bedroom, helping relive the nostalgia. There’s a lot more info to come, but tickets are available now — for free, mind you. But get in quick, there’s not many left.

The Sims 25th Birthday expo is running from February 21st – Sunday 23rd.
