The Legend Of Zelda live-action movie is in the works

It’s a wonderful day. The sun is shining, the Loftwings are singing, and The Legend of Zelda movie was finally announced!

The announcement comes from Nintendo Japan’s official Twitter/X page, where Shigeru Miyamoto himself Tweeted (Xeeted) the all-important news.

I have asked Avi-san to produce this film with me, and we have now officially started the development of the film with Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production. It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it. [2]https://t.co/2H9lzzS5Pv

This is the greatest day of my life.

Those expecting an animated outing like The Super Mario Bros. Movie may be surprised to discover that The Legend of Zelda film will be a live-action adaptation.

Wes Ball, known for his directorial work on The Maze Runner franchise, will direct. Miyamoto and Avi Arad will ride shotgun in the producers’ seat.

Miyamoto states that the movie is still a while away yet… If only I could find myself an Ocarina of Time, I could travel to the future to see it sooner!
