Secrets of Blackrock Manor – Escape Room is the latest escape room game with haunting vibes and brain tickling puzzles.
One of the earlier puzzles you’ll come across is a series of switches in the manor’s Main Entrance.
At the top of the grand staircase, underneath the portrait of Emma and Augustus, is a puzzle featuring the shape of the room surrounded by 12 switches.

Looking around the main entrance, you’ll notice only some of the wall lamps are turned on.
This is your guide to the on/off switches.
Every second light is on, making the solution fairly simple! What starts off looking like a complex puzzle is almost one of its simplest.

Completing this puzzle will lift the large portrait of Emma and Augustus to reveal a compass, which is the solution for the puzzle underneath Charles’ portrait.

How to solve Charles’ candle puzzle

After revealing the compass underneath Emma and Augustus’ portrait, take note of the arrow’s path through the compass.
Centre, west, south, east, north.

This compass, when used as a reference at the portrait of the manor grounds, reveal to you the order to the candles underneath Charles’ portrait.
Manor at the centre, Maze to the west, Gate is south, the Woods in to the east and the Ocean is north.
