Secrets of Blackrock Manor: Main Hall Portrait Puzzle

Secrets of Blackrock Manor – Escape Room is the latest escape room game with haunting vibes and brain tickling puzzles. It’s releasing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox — and we’ve been exploring its many rooms and halls.

Some of the puzzles can be tough! So here’s hoping this little guide helps.

In the Main Hall, the first room of the game, there’s many portraits hung around the walls. One is a picture of a man with no name plaque underneath.

Searching the draws underneath the group of clocks, you’ll find a newspaper article and discover his name is Vincent.

Using the letters of his name, you’ll need to match the letters with the corresponding colours on the not-so-subtle bookcase. Enter the colour code to unlock the secrets of the frame.

The bookshelf cipher in the main entrance.

The bookshelf cipher is opposite the portrait of Vincent, it’s here you’ll find letters corresponding with a colour type.

V is blue, I is green, N is blue and so on.

Spoilers, here’s the code:

Blue, green, blue, yellow, red, blue and pink.

After entering the above colour combination, a drawer clicks open under the portrait. It’s here you’ll clock hands for the aforementioned clock puzzle.

Hope that helps!
