The original House Flipper is back with a new coat of paint! It’s been a minute since I last purchased a virtual home, cleaned it up and repaired it. But with the news and a free demo of House Flipper Remastered Collection, budding house flippers and enthusiasts now have the perfect excuse to dive back in.

After spending a solid four hours tinkering away, scrubbing grime and lining up furniture with borderline concerning precision, I’m happy to report: it’s still got it. The demo’s a little rough around the edges, but it absolutely reignited my inner interior design/tradie wannabe.
House Flipper Remastered Collection Brings If All — Including The Kitchen Sink

The House Flipper Remastered Collection bundles all eight DLCs with refreshed visuals. From what I’ve played in the demo, everything looked noticeably sharper.

There’s also new characters and full voice acting layered into a revamped storyline. It’s part of the game’s new “lovely” content initiative, which aims to make renovations feel more personal and story-driven rather than just flipping house after house — kind of like you’re speed running The Block. I particularly enjoyed the Southern American country accent from a client who asked me to renovate their barn in the demo. It adds charm and breaks up what was previously a very quiet, solitary experience.

A Full Rebuild — Hundreds Of New Items And Game Changing View Options
Content-wise, you’re getting:
- Six brand-new jobs
- Over 800 new items
- Community-requested features like Top-Down View and Photo Mode

The Top-Down View, in particular, is a game-changer for perfectionists. If you’ve ever rotated a couch 17 times to get it perfectly aligned, this one’s for you.

The demo also includes two refreshed jobs from the original game and one brand-new job and house. Better yet, you start with access to all features in your humble shack, which makes experimenting far more satisfying. It’s a pretty chunky demo.

There were some minor bugs during my playthrough — the map looked a bit odd at times, certain items didn’t always engage properly, and before-and-after photos occasionally failed to display. Overall, there was nothing game-breaking, and I’d expect this all to be a moot point by launch.

Performance-wise, I initially tried the demo on the Steam Deck and found it a little clunky. It runs much better on PC with mouse and keyboard — which, honestly, still feels like the definitive way to play House Flipper.

The demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest and is live indefinitely (for now). While there’s no hard launch date beyond April 2026, the House Flipper Remastered Collection is set to launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
