Chef of Sherwood is an upcoming cooking survival visual novel set in the world of Robin Hood.
It marks the debut title from Porcelaine Games, a studio founded by Canadian couple Marielle Bissonnette-Lavoie and Pierre Delage — it also gives off big Cooking Mama vibes. A pitch like that is hard for me to ignore.
The game trailer was revealed in the Quebec Games Celebration Showcase 2026.

You play as the newly appointed royal chef to Prince John, tasked with preparing lavish meals for the crown. The catch? You’ll need to rely on Robin Hood and his Merry Folk to source your ingredients… and ideally keep your head attached to your shoulders.

This medieval cooking sim blends time and resource management with visual novel storytelling. You’ll chop, stir and pour your way through royal recipes, while chatting with townsfolk to uncover what the court is craving — or actively trying to avoid.
And yes, the game leans into its cheeky tone. The game asks the ultimate question: will you steal from the poor to feed the rich?
There’s no release date for Chef of Sherwood just yet, but you can check out the demo on Steam now.
