Although Nintendo is having a Black Friday sale, we’ve still put together a list of the top Nintendo Switch games for under $5 in case you’re looking for a real bargain this month… Or if you’ve already done too much Black Friday shopping.
Neko Bento – $2.99
Here’s one we reviewed recently that I’ve already swiped for myself. Tetris your snacks into your bento box, made by a hardworking cat. Launching at a bargain, this sale ends on December 14th.

The First Tree – $3.00
The First Tree looks Neva-coded to me. You play as a fox trying to find her missing family, and a son reconnecting with his estranged father in Alaska. There are some truly beautiful scenes in the game. The sale ends on November 28th.
The Red Lantern – $4.94
Have you ever wanted to be a dog sledder? You can in The Red Lantern! Play as a musher lost in the wilderness with your team of five sled dogs. The sale ends on November 24th.

MIYAMOTO – $4.99
MIYAMOTO is a new game that’s actually under $5, not even on sale! It’s a Japanese-themed card game that looks like a virtual board game. It was just released on November 7th.
Mind Scanners – $3.29
Mind Scanners reminds me of Hacknet, although you’re a psychologist in this and not a hacker. The artwork is very similar though. In Mind Scanners, you have to diagnose the citizens of a dystopian metropolis and treat them accordingly. The sale ends on November 25th.
Kittens and Yarn – $1.50
This looks like a cute minimalist puzzle cat game, with yarn. Very realistic if you had a bunch of cats and enjoy knitting. The sale ends on November 24th.

Watermelon Party – $1.50
Players are given different tiles to lay a path for their meeple to walk across the map to collect watermelons. Tabletop mode is available, and you can play with up to four players. The sale ends on November 24th.
Geometric Sniper – Blood in Paris – $1.50
This game looks so fun! Play as Katy, a French sniper, who has to protect her city. Your targets will try to find different ways to deter you from taking them out. The sale ends on November 24th.
Storm Boy – $1.50
Storm Boy is an interactive retelling of a children’s book of the same name from 1964. It takes place in South Australia near the Murray River. The sale ends on December 1st.

Golf Peaks – $1.50
Use your controllers to navigate your golf ball to the hole. Very similar to a Super Mario Party Jamboree minigame I played recently. Unfortunately, it’s single player only. Sale ends on December 18th.
For the nerds like me, games like Sudoku Universe, Math Gym, and Nonogram Minimal are also all Nintendo Switch games under $5, but I understand not everyone loves to solve puzzles all the time. Worth checking out though if that’s your jam.
