Nintendo is spoiling us with new Mario & Luigi: Brothership RPG

Fans of the Mario & Luigi series rejoice! Nintendo has announced that Mario & Luigi: Brothership, the first new entry in the RPG franchise since 2015’s Paper Jam, is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

The brothers are back and ready to work together once again in this island hopping RPG adventure. Setting sail on Shipshaped Island — yes, it’s part ship, part island — they will navigate their way around the new world of Concordia.

While keeping the “Brothership” afloat, Mario and Luigi will explore a vast array of different islands ranging from lush rainforests to dynamic, bustling cities. Along the way you will encounter a range of new and familiar characters, including Peach and Bowser, that will help guide the duo on their expedition.

Sticking to other Mario & Luigi games, the battling system is turned based but with a dynamic twist. Using Mario and Luigi’s bond they will perform powerful “Bros. Attacks” to claim victory over their foes. To power up these moves you will need to learn the correct button combinations and time them to perfection.
