“Player 2 has entered the game” — Today’s Devolver Direct has unveiled an exciting new update for Cult of the Lamb, with a new playable character, co-op and more on the way.
Titled Unholy Alliance, the free update introduces The Goat, “summoned by blood and born in corruption”. Gamers can couch co-op the entirety of the game as The Goat and The Lamb, slaying demons and building the perfect cute and cuddly cult.
Mini-games like Knucklebones and fishing have multiplayer twists, there’s new corrupted weapons, tarot cards, curses, and relics that cult leaders can use together on their quests.

Players are now able to swap weapons, deal critical hits and extra damage when fighting back-to-back — the key is to stay in sync with your partner.

But it’s not just co-op players that can reap these new tools, solo players also gain access to new powers and abilities. The Unholy Alliance will also introduce new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and more.
Cult of the Lamb: Unholy Alliance will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch as a free update on August 12th.
