With the long rumoured, now hotly anticipated, remaster of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the way, I struggled to contain my excitement. What better way to tie me over than to go back and play through the original?

Despite it’s quirky and buggy gameplay, the game still managed to secure an incredible 94/100 on Metacritic.

From the Emperor’s shock assassination to sneaking around rats and taking out a camp of goblins, there’s so much joy in stepping back into this world after all these years.

Given that The Elder Scrolls VI is still god knows how far away, this is the next best thing.
