Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has landed and it’s offering a fresh and exciting look to an otherwise lacklustre season one.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the refresh of an all-new island alongside Chapter 4, I just feel it missed the mark at times.
Now that I’ve crammed the final pieces of the Season 1 Battle Pass and painstakingly completed Geralt of Rivia’s quest lines – we get to start all over again.

MEGA City is the main addition to Season 2 which sees a lot of that green and farmland transformed into a Japan-like biome.
Players can explore, grind rails and speed around on futuristic motorcycles in MEGA City – a Tokyo-esque area with tall buildings a bright neon lights.

Anime is the ticket item (again) in Season 2, with Attack on Titan’s Eren Jaeger coming mid-season, but at least there are no more strange My Hero Academia floating head balloons dropping around the map (only strange because admittedly I have never seen the anime or read the manga).

One of the most exciting features of this new season is the addition of grind rails and a new version of the bike.
You can jump on grind rails, skate around buildings, and zoom around on the streets with the two-person “Rogue Bike” or the Tokyo-drift-styled “Nitro Drifter”.
The buildings in MEGA City aren’t all accessible, you also can’t smash them apart – this is a little disappointing compared to Tilted Towers.
On the outskirts of MEGA City, players will find traditional Japanese gardens, cherry blossom trees and powerful katanas. The new Kinetic Katana essentially replace the Shockwave Hammer from last season, with a cool new traversal ability and powerful attacks.

With a new season comes and a new Battle Pass.
No big licensed skins right now (maybe later in the season?), but we have plenty of cool and stylish (or “chic”) outfits to collect.

In addition to the new outfits, the new season also introduces seven new Reality Augments. We now have the addition of the Munitions Slide, Shotgun Recycle, Dignified Finish, just to name a few.
Overall, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: MEGA is an exciting addition to the game with lots of new content to explore. With all new areas, new vehicles, new Battle Pass rewards – there’s plenty to keep players engaged for hours on end.
