With the Nintendo Switch 2 launch speeding toward us like a blue shell on Rainbow Road, we’ve rounded up exclusive games officially confirmed for the console, as well as Switch 2 Editions and ports on the way.
Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusives
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour – June 5th
Okay this isn’t really a “game” but since Nintendo’s charging actual money for it ($14.95) it gets a spot. It’s more of a glorified interactive demo than anything else but let’s just get it out of the way and get to the real games.
Mario Kart World – June 5th
I still think Mario Kart LARPing is going to replace GTA LARPing with this release. Not that I’ll be driving (hehe) this venture or anything. You’ll be able to LARP your heart away at the high high cost of $119.95. Hold onto your wallets.

Survival Kids – June 5th

This revival of the 1999 multiplayer survival game from Konami will be the latest game in the series since 2008.
Donkey Kong Bananza – July 17th
Yes, DK (not Drift King) is back. Donkey Kong Bananza swings in slightly cheaper at $109.95. Though now coming at launch, fans would banana-split hairs if this one didn’t show up. (I know, I know, it’s not great.)
Drag x Drive – Winter 2025
Experience the new Joy-Con mouse functionality with this three-on-three wheelchair basketball game. Absolutely not what I had on my Nintendo bingo card, but here we are.
Kirby Air Riders – 2025
A Kirby Air Ride after 20 years, directed by Masahiro Sakurai himself? Float me straight to 2003 and don’t look back.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – Late 2025 / Early 2026
A prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. More lore — more Link (maybe?). More wildly chaotic battles where you yeet a hundred Bokoblins at once.
The Duskbloods – 2026
A dark multiplayer title from FromSoftware, which means it’s either going to be painfully brilliant or brilliantly painful. Either way, we’re intrigued — and terrified.

Confirmed Third-Party Games For Switch 2
Beyond that, Nintendo confirmed a juicy list of third-party titles heading to Switch 2. First off the rank are the big ones releasing on launch day.
Launching June 5th
Cyberpunk 2027: Ultimate Edition

CD Projekt Red is bringing Nintendo fans the full Cyberpunk 2027 experience with the Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game and the Phantom Liberty spy-thriller expansion.
Split Fiction

Only recently released, it’s cool to see Split Fiction heading to the Switch 2. You can even cross-play with the Switch 2 with EA Friend’s Pass, although it would’ve been nice to have a free cross-play.

Launching 2025
Borderlands 4

While we recently heard that the game’s launch date has moved up 11 days to September 12th, the Switch 2 version hasn’t been confirmed for this new date yet.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition

Just like Cyberpunk 2027 Ultimate Edition, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will include the base game Shadow of the Erdtree and new weapons, armour, and more!
Hades 2

The popular rogue-lite game is making it way to the new console to take advantage of the new 1080px screen.
Witchbrook

This super cute magical game is coming out at the end of the year, and I can’t wait!
TBC
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

I’m very tempted by this one because it includes FF7R EPISODE INTERmission, which I missed since I’ve taken a hiatus from these remakes.

Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy will be updated with Joy-Con 2 mouse support, which I’m not sure will add to the gameplay experience, as it played pretty awesome with just the controller for me (on the PS5). Definitely a good game for this portable console though!
Hollow Knight: Silksong

Still no further details on Silksong besides the fact that it’s coming out this year. Hopefully that doesn’t change. The game was recently confirmed to appear at ACMI in Melbourne later in the year, we’ll keep across that!
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam

As with Hollow Knight: Silksong, still nothing additional on New World of Steam. When I know, you can bet I’ll be writing about it.
