High-octane combat racer, Disney Speedstorm, is zooming into early access next month.
“The ultimate hero-based battle-racing game, set on circuits inspired by Disney & Pixar worlds”
The courses are looking great! The door-filled world of Monsters Inc. and Steamboat Willies’ monochromatic raceway were the standouts for me.
There also looks to be some dope power ups, with mines, lightning boosts and what appeared to be hundreds of tiny fists punching anything and everything you get close to!
The art style lends itself to some characters better than others,
Donald and Goofy looks slick as hell, but there’s something not quite right with Hercules and Sulley.

Much like their other smash hit, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Speedstorm will be free-to-play… eventually. If you want early access to the game you’ll have to buy one of three tiered ‘founders packs’.
Dreamlight Valley is still in early access after launching in Sept 2022, so you can expect it will be at least 6 months before Speedstorm goes free-to-play.
While it’s unlikely we’ll ever get a kart racer that can take the crown from Mario Kart, if anyone can do it Disney can.
They have the roster potential to keep the updates coming for decades and it looks as if Disney Speedstorm is bringing the heat!
Early access players will be able to check it out come April 18 for PC and consoles.
