Marvel’s Avengers (the video game) is done and dusted, with the developers confirming the game will not receive any future updates.
The game released in 2020, long after the MCU reached its peak, but failed to connect with its audience as strong as the game studio hoped.
“After two-and-a-half years and introducing twelve of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, following Update 2.8 on March 31, 2023, we will no longer add new content or features to Marvel’s Avengers,” the development team said in a statement.
“All official support for the game will end on September 30, 2023.”
Despite ending support for the game, Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that multiplayer isn’t shutting down.
They’re also releasing all marketplace content, including cosmetic items, for free for all players.
