Back In Business! Tamagotchi Plaza Is Bringing Back The Chaos (And The Cuteness)

Your Tamagotchi are clocking in, and they’re cuter (and needier) than ever. Tamagotchi Plaza, the latest entry in the beloved Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series, is coming to Nintendo Switch in June.

Set in the colourful Tamahiko Town on Tamagotchi Planet, you’ll help local shops prepare for a massive festival by completing charming tasks and cheering up quirky visitors. There are 12 unique shops to run, including a Dentist, Eyewear Shop, and even an Afternoon Tea room.

And yes, you can still poke cavities like it’s 2007!

You’ll take on mini-games to grow your business, boost shop reputations, and make Tamahiko Town come alive. Just like the Nintendo DS days, your tiny business empire grows with every happy Tamagotchi you serve.

Tamagotchi Plaza blends the older more nostalgic mini-games with all new ones!

For the first time in the series, you can also play select shops in offline two-player mode. The minigame madness is back — only now you’ve got someone else to blame when you spill the tea. Literally.

Over 100 Tamagotchi characters will drop by, each with their own little dramas. Some might need your help, others just want to hang out. If you ever yelled at a Tamagotchi for not appreciating your perfectly folded laundry, this one’s for you.

Earning high ratings and getting a good evaluation will upgrade your shops!

Players with a Tamagotchi Uni device can also link it to the game for exclusive items and special in-game effects.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to Tamagotchi life, this little plaza looks to be full of charm, chaos, and oddly satisfying chores. Tamagotchi Plaza opens its doors on June 27th — and it’s looking just as delightfully unhinged as we remember.
