Insomniac Studios has given has our first proper look at Marvel’s Wolverine! At long last. And no, this one isn’t from a leak… We were blessed with over eight minutes of new info, all revealed during Thursday’s PlayStation State of Play. We now know who is going to be playing Wolverine and the game’s release window.

Aussie actor Liam McIntyre is set to star as Wolverine in the upcoming game — there’s just something about Aussie actors and this character.
You may recognise McIntyre from his work on the TV series Spartacus, but he’s also had roles in a few big games, including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Gears of War.
We love to see Aussies kick ass — and it looks like there’s plenty of that in this new game.
What does Marvel’s Wolverine release in Australia?
Fall 2026 is what we are told. But for us Aussies, that means Spring. Marvel’s Wolverine will launch some time between September 1st to November 30th on PlayStation 5.
