Nintendo Switch Games For Under $5 | September 2024

Another month, another wrap-up of cheap Nintendo Switch games coming your way! This September has three games I thoroughly enjoy and can personally recommend, starting with my favourite.

Suika – $4.50

(Suika)

This isn’t even an offer! Suika is one of my favourite games that’s sort of a play on Tetris. The objective is to combine two of the same fruits until you get a watermelon i.e. a suika! It sounds harder than it is, and you can’t let the fruits overflow from the jar. I’d suggest bundling this so you can have a multiplayer option to play against friends/family, but it’s also a great way to pass the time on public transport. By the way, the orange thing with the nub on the top is a dekopon, a type of Mandarin orange. Delicious!

Animal Water Pang! – $4.05

If fruits aren’t your thing, I also found this Suika rip-off that’s slightly cheaper with animals! Personally, I prefer Suika but why not give you some variety? It’s the spice of life after all. The sale ends on October 2nd.

To The Rescue! – $3

Speaking of pets, I also found To The Rescue! which is at this price until October 4th. It’s a dog shelter simulator! We love sims here at Quest Daily so think at least one of us will be picking this up given its charming character design. 20 per cent of all sales of this game goes towards real dog shelters through the developer’s charity partner the PetFinder Foundation, which is another great reason to pick this up.

Death Squared – $2.24

Available at this price until September 25th, Death Squared is a great puzzle party game for up to four players. It’s sort of Portal-esque, but with options to cute-ify your avatar. Many a night have I screamed at my friends and husband for making the wrong move, and also moved and killed all of us from tiredness. Fun all around!

The Stillness of the Wind – $2.58

I loved this simple, straightforward game about life and loss. In The Stillness of the Wind, you play as Talma, an old lady who survives in her solitary way of life by milking her goats, making cheese from the milk, farming, and selling her wares with the travelling merchant that visits daily and brings you letters from your family in the city. Though ultimately quite depressing, I found it relaxing, almost meditative to play, except when the night came. I also just realised it’s a follow-up game to Where the Goats Are, which I’ll be checking out now I know about it. Sale ends on September 24th.

Freaky Trip GOTY Edition – $2.99

Get this bargain bundle until October 11th! Freaky trip is a logical puzzle game, although they might not seem very obvious at first. Cute artwork.

Figment – $1.74

Cheap puzzle games seem to be the fad this month. Figment is an action-adventure puzzle game set in the human mind. You play as Dusty, the mind’s former voice of courage trying to face his fears and get back to his old self. Available until September 26th.

Down in Bermuda – $1.50

Looking quite similar to Figment, in Down in Bermuda, you play an adventurous aviator who’s been stranded for decades in the infamous Bermuda islands. Available until September 27th.

Make it! Crepe – $3.42

Last, but not least, I stumbled upon this game and was sucked in by the multitasking cooking element. It’s also a party game for up to four players, which looks crazy in the screenshot above. Available until October 12th.

If you’re after straight cooking, Cooking Simulator is also on sale for just $3 until October 9th.

Stay tuned for next month’s round up of cheap Nintendo Switch games!
