This morning’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase shone the spotlight on a variety of eye-catching indie games, including the surprise reveal of SteamWorld Heist II.
The 2015 action-adventure SteamWorld Heist, saw you gallivanting through space with your rag-tag crew. The sequel, however, looks to be more of a swashbuckling affair, setting sail on the high seas.

The charming art-style, kooky characters, and turn-based combat — that made the original a fan favourite — all make a return.
Assemble and arm your crew, customise their abilities, and dive into strategic, turn-based gun battles that I can only describe as ricochet-porn.

New to the series is real-time naval combat, battling pirates and the like, as you explore strange tides. Raid enemy bases and nab their loot to bolster the strength of your crew.
SteamWorld Heist II is coming August 8th to the Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
