Trinity Fusion is oozing ‘Metroid Dread’ vibes, here’s the new trailer

Angry Mob Games, developers of Brawlout, have released an exciting new trailer for Trinity Fusion and it’s giving me a serious case of deja vu!

With it’s gritty Sci-Fi setting, fast-paced combat and skin tight battle suit upgrade, the rogue-lite action platformer is clearly inspired by the Metroid series (I mean it even has fusion in the name!)

The parkour-like movement, especially the slide and ball jump, instantly reminded me of last years’ Metroid Dread.

To save the dying multiverse you’ll play as three parallel versions of yourself, each with unique worlds, abilities and weapon sets.

Slide, dash and dodge through procedurally-generated levels while battling mutants, machines and more.
It all sounds pretty dope to me!

Hopefully it can differentiate itself enough, to be more than a rogue-lite version of Metroid.

On April 13, Trinity Fusion will launch into early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Dates for the Xbox and PlayStation versions are yet to be announced.
