Streaming giant Netflix has given us a sneak peek at its new animated series, Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft.

The trailer doesn’t show us much, but we can expect plenty of dangerously exciting adventures from the legendary bow and arrow-wielding Lara Croft. According to the trailer, we may also be getting a deeper reminiscent look into her past.

Produced by Legendary Entertainment and animated by Powerhouse Animation, the series will follow the life of the iconic archeologist after the events of Crystal Dynamic’s modernised trilogy of Tomb Raider games: Tomb Raider: Legend (2006), Tomb Raider: Anniversary (2007), and Tomb Raider: Underworld (2008)

Tomb Raider I, II and III are being remastered in addition to the Netflix series.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is set to arrive sometime next year, adding to the already exciting time for Tomb Raider fans. Particularly with the recently announced Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered out February 2024, showcased at the most recent Nintendo Direct.

The Drop 01 Netflix event also offered gamers 7-minutes of the new Castlevania: Nocturne series, shared news about Devil May Cry, and screened a new trailer for Farcry spin-off: Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which is releasing next month.
