PlayStation kicked off today’s State of Play livestream showcasing five new titles coming to PS VR2 – as promised.
Though eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed an extra surprise later in the stream.
The Foglands – Coming 2023
The Foglands is an action-roguelike shooter that’ll see you punch, throw, and shoot your way through floors of enemies and bosses to reach the end.
Run into the unknown, fight monsters, scavenge loot, and try to make it back before you are swallowed by the fog.
Green Hell VR – Coming 2023
Green Hell VR is a realistic survival game, recreating the deadly conditions of the Amazon jungle. To survive you’ll have to maintain hunger, thirst and fatigue as well as defend against wild animal attacks and other tropical dangers!
Build a shelter, craft tools, grab a bow and get ready to survive!
Synapse – Coming 2023
Synapse is an action-packed shooter created exclusively for PS VR2.
Set in a monochromatic world; actions like gunfire, explosions and telekinesis add splashes of neon colour that really pop against the black and white.
Turn the mind into a battlefield and unleash your inner anti-hero with brutal firepower in one hand and surging telekinesis in the other.
Journey to Foundation – Coming 2023
Navigate a galaxy in chaos in Journey to Foundation, based on Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi epic.
Take up the role of spymaster, sent to investigate civil unrest at the edge of the Galactic Empire.
Employ subterfuge and diplomacy or use threats and manipulation to get your way. Relationships will be strained, loyalties will be tested, factions will rise and fall… the future is in your hands.
Before Your Eyes – March 10th 2023
Before Your Eyes is a colourful narrative adventure controlled using real-life blinking!
Starting with your earliest memory, every blink will send you forward in time, reliving precious memories of family, first love and the rise of an artistic career.
The definitive version of this BAFTA award winning game.
That was it for the VR section, though later in the stream another game popped up that was listed as coming to both consoles and VR.
Humanity – Coming May 2023
You are the last hope for humanity, you are also a Shiba Inu… No really.
Humanity blends devious puzzle-solving with platformer-action mechanics.
In this Lemmingslike, you will lead a horde of ever-marching people to salvation. Command the masses through 90 challenging levels, instructing them when to turn, jump, push, float, climb and more!
Looks bonkers.
