Capcom Showcases tend to be a bit less exciting than some of the others around this time, and this year was no exception.
On Tuesday, we got trailers we’d seen before, game delays and collections of older games announced.
Here’s all the news from the 2023 Capcom Showcase:
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a brand new IP, a fast-paced hack-and-slash acid trip. Colourful and creepy, it gave me Kena Bridge of Spirits meets Ghostwire Tokyo vibes.
Unfortunately they played the exact same trailer that was shown at the Xbox Showcase which is a bit disappointing, they could’ve taken the opportunity to dive deeper into the game here.
Path of the Goddess doesn’t have a release date yet but it will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
PRAGMATA
It’s been three years since we’ve seen Pragmata, last year it was delayed into 2023 and at the end of this trailer there is an apology message from the development team explaining that they need more time.
What we did see was a very short snippet of gameplay that actually looked pretty cool, I’m really digging the heavy Sci-Fi vibes and can’t wait to see more when it’s ready.
When it does release, it will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Exoprimal
The online, team-based action game, Exoprimal got a new trailer.
Exo-suit up with your friends and take on swarms of Neo-dinosaurs with an arsenal of futuristic weaponry.
There’ll be and Open Beta on June 16th before it’s release on July 14th.
Coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Ghost Trick got a demo and demonstration ahead of it’s release on June 30 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
MEGA MAN X DiVE Offline is coming to Steam, iOS, and Android later this year.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is coming early 2024 to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Director, Hideaki Itsuno presented a deeper look at combat, Pawns, and gameplay systems.
That can be found HERE within the showcase at around the 40 minute mark.
