Turtle Beach has just unveiled its first-ever Xbox controller: the Stealth Ultra

Turtle Beach has unveiled its first-ever Xbox and PC controller with a built-in display and a smorgasbord of customisation offers.

It’s called the Designed for Xbox Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra Wireless Smart Game Controller, but for this piece — let’s just go with the Stealth Ultra controller.

Let’s go through all the details

This innovative controller, marking Turtle Beach’s debut in the wireless controller market, caters to gamers seeking top-tier performance and customisation.

Turtle Beach says the Stealth Ultra boasts low-latency wireless connectivity for seamless integration with Xbox consoles and Windows PCs. Additionally, it supports Bluetooth for gaming on compatible Smart TVs and Android mobile devices.

The controller features tactile micro switches designed to deliver fast responses. Turtle beach also says its durability is up to five times longer than standard buttons found in other controllers.

This in-built display is epic

A standout feature is the full-color Connected Command Display. This is a first-of-its-kind interface that allows gamers to customise RGB lighting, audio settings, thumbstick sensitivity and mappable buttons.

But that’s not all.

If you’re like me and constantly pausing the game to reply to messages, this controller has a solution. The Stealth Ultra can deliver social notifications from users’ phones directly to the Connected Command Display dashboard.

Sorry, gamers. There’s no more excuses to not reply or see messages while gaming.

The Stealth Ultra introduces adjustable power modes and can provide up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. A low-profile charging dock is also included with the controller.

How much is it?

It’ll set gamers back about $329.95 AUD. Compared to the Xbox Elite and the PlayStation Dualsense Edge, that price point seems reasonable — but we’ll just have to get our hands on it and see.

The Designed for Xbox Stealth Ultra Wireless Smart Controller is available for pre-order and is set to launch on January 26th next year.
